How to Pause All Emails and Match Your Theme in Learnomy1:51Chapters and transcript

Learnomy 2.1.5 makes instructor earnings easy to explain, lets your theme lend its colours to Learnomy, and finishes a round of presentation and language fixes. Install Learnomy and Learnomy Pro 2.1.5 together.

Instructor earnings and refunds#

  • Plan revenue is split equally across a plan's published courses. Each course's author is paid at their own rate, instead of by lessons completed. A membership plan can only take published courses. See Commissions and Earnings.
  • Each plan payment is shared once. A renewal that completes after the monthly run is paid by the next run, and a plan with no published course pays once it has one.
  • Preview or run any month from the command line. wp learnomy membership split 2026-09 --dry-run lists what each instructor would receive and changes nothing. See WP-CLI Commands.
  • Refunds take back what they should, the same on every payment method. A partial refund reduces the commission in proportion. If a commission was already paid out and a refund makes it too large, the excess is taken back as a negative earning that nets against the instructor's next earnings. See Transactions.
  • Refunding a membership sale cancels the membership that sale billed.
  • Commission is paid only on money Learnomy collected. A sale recorded for a payment provider Learnomy does not run no longer pays commission.

Pro: store refunds and Stripe Connect#

  • A refund in Paid Memberships Pro, Restrict Content Pro or an Easy Digital Downloads renewal takes back the access that sale gave, and nothing else. See the Paid Memberships Pro and Restrict Content Pro bridges.
  • Stripe Connect no longer reverses transfers or keeps its own refund debt. A refund is taken back as a negative earning in Learnomy. Debts booked before 2.1.5 are still recovered at payout. See Stripe Connect Payouts.
  • White Label has no Hide branding setting, because Learnomy shows no credit to hide. See White Label.

Your theme and your words#

  • Themes lend their colours. Astra, Kadence, Twenty Twenty-Five, GeneratePress, Blocksy, Neve and Ollie lend their brand colour and text to Learnomy, and Learnomy's fields and buttons keep their padding, corners and shadow on any theme. See Layouts.
  • Your labels reach everywhere. Owner and public text says Student, in your own label, and messages, role names, webhook event names, status badges and Pro screens follow renamed Course, Quiz, Lesson, Instructor and Category labels. See Labels.
  • No product name in member-facing text. The "Powered by Learnomy" credit is gone from the front end.
  • Lesson Previous and Next are two compact buttons in both lesson layouts, with the lesson title as a tooltip. See Taking a Course.

Fixes worth knowing#

  • A quiz result waiting on the instructor's grading no longer shows a score straight after submitting.
  • The remove button next to a question on the quiz editor removes it, and the editor keeps unsaved edits.
  • Menu items added from the Learnomy Pages box follow a changed account or page slug instead of returning 404.
  • A certificate issued for a course completion imported from another LMS carries the original completion date.
  • Subscriptions shows the Filter by who bills it dropdown as soon as a store bridge is on. See Subscriptions.
  • The Currency Symbol setting reaches every price.

For developers#

  • The learnomy_show_branding and learnomy_branding_url filters are removed.
  • New learnomy_certificate_merge_tags filter adds your own merge tags to the certificate designer and the rendered certificate. See the Hooks Reference.
  • The payout.reversed and payout.reversal_failed webhook events are removed. See Webhook Events.
