Certify

Certificates students can actually prove

Design in a canvas editor. Issue automatically on completion. Every credential gets a permanent public verification URL and a QR code that anyone can scan to confirm it is real.

Certificate designer

Design once, issue to every student who earns it

The canvas editor lives in wp-admin. Drag elements into position, set fonts and colors, preview as PDF before assigning to any course. No external tools, no graphic design background required.

  • Merge tags

Student name, course name, issue date, credential ID, and site name fill in at issue time.

  • Logo and signature

Upload a logo and a signature image with a name and title block below it.

  • QR code

Links directly to the public verification URL. A printed certificate is self-verifying.

  • Text and decorative lines

Static text blocks, horizontal and vertical lines for borders and separators.

Public verification

A credential anyone can confirm without a login

Every certificate gets a permanent URL at /verify/{uuid}. Students put it on a resume or LinkedIn. Anyone can open it and see the credential is genuine.

  • Permanent public URL

Every certificate lives at /verify/{uuid}. No login required. Stable for the lifetime of the credential.

  • Recipient and course details

Verification page shows student name, course title, issue date, and credential ID with a "Valid" badge.

  • PDF download and print

Students download the PDF or print a print-optimized version directly from the verification page.

  • LinkedIn sharing

A pre-filled "Add to Profile" link sends the course name, org, issue date, and credential ID to LinkedIn.

Certificates Pro

PRO

Tamper-evident credentials that travel anywhere

Certificates Pro extends the built-in designer with cryptographic signatures, open badge standards, and a local tamper-detection registry so institutions and employers can trust what they see.

Open Badges 3.0

Issues a standards-compliant Open Badge alongside the Learnomy certificate for cross-platform recognition.

Credly badges

Pushes a digital badge to the student's Credly account the moment a certificate is issued.

Ed25519 digital signatures

Every certificate is signed with a private key stored encrypted in WordPress options. The public key is embedded in the payload.

SHA-256 hash anchoring

A tamper-evident hash of each certificate is recorded in a local registry. Any post-issue alteration is detectable.

Certificate FAQ

Are certificates issued automatically?

Yes. When a student meets the course completion requirement, Learnomy issues the certificate immediately. No admin action needed. Deduplication prevents multiple completions from creating duplicate credentials.

Can anyone verify a certificate without a login?

Yes. The verification page at /verify/{uuid} is fully public and requires no login. It shows the recipient name, course title, issue date, credential ID, and a "Valid" or "Revoked" status.

What happens if I revoke a certificate?

The certificate status changes to Revoked immediately. The public verification page shows "Certificate Revoked" to anyone who visits the URL. Revocation is permanent in the admin UI.

Can one template be used for multiple courses?

Yes. Design a template once and assign it to as many courses as you like. Merge tags pull the correct course name and student details at issue time.

What are Open Badges 3.0 and do I need them?

Open Badges 3.0 is an industry standard for digital credentials, recognized by platforms like LinkedIn, Credly, and learning management networks. It is a Learnomy Pro feature via Certificates Pro. Free certificates with PDF download and the public verification URL are sufficient for most use cases.
