Recurring revenue, on your own site. No MemberPress required.
Learnomy ships membership plans with monthly and annual billing, built-in Stripe and PayPal, and content drip in Pro — all in one plugin. No separate membership plugin to maintain.
Why membership course sites struggle
Most WordPress setups need three plugins to do what Learnomy ships in one
An LMS plugin, a membership plugin, and a subscriptions add-on — each with its own update stream, each capable of breaking the others. There is a simpler way.
A separate membership plugin on top of your LMS
Most setups require an LMS plugin plus MemberPress or a similar plugin for gating. Two plugins, two support queues, two update streams — and they break each other regularly.
Subscriptions require WooCommerce Subscriptions
Bolt-on payment plugins charge extra for recurring billing. Setting up monthly and annual on the same plan means juggling multiple product configurations.
No drip without another add-on
Drip content delivery is a paid extension in most LMS solutions. You pay more for a feature that should be standard on any membership course site.
Student retention is invisible
Without enrollment-relative drip and progress tracking, you have no mechanism to keep students coming back week after week. Churn is silent.
Membership plans
Monthly, annual, free trials. All in one plan.
Create a plan, configure monthly and annual pricing, map your Stripe and PayPal price IDs, and you are live. Renewals, cancellations, failed payments, and refunds are handled automatically by the built-in gateway adapters.
Monthly and annual intervals
Both on the same plan. Students choose at checkout.
Free trials
Configurable trial period before the first charge.
Up to 3 free plans
Offer a starter tier alongside paid plans.

Content Drip PRO
Release lessons on your schedule, not theirs
Content Drip releases lessons on a fixed calendar date or a set number of days after a student enrolls. Students cannot skip ahead — lessons are simply inaccessible until the scheduled unlock, enforced at the API level.
-
Enrollment-relative timing
Unlock 7, 14, or 30 days after a student subscribes, personalized per student.
-
Fixed calendar dates
Schedule a lesson to unlock on a specific date across all students — useful for cohort courses.
-
API-enforced gating
Locked lessons are inaccessible, not just hidden. A direct API call for a locked lesson returns a 403.

Membership site FAQ
Do I need MemberPress or a separate membership plugin?
No. Learnomy ships membership plans with monthly and annual billing, free trials, coupon support, and gateway integration as part of the core Free plugin. You do not need MemberPress, Restrict Content Pro, or any other membership plugin.
Can I offer both monthly and annual billing on the same plan?
Yes. A single membership plan supports both billing intervals. Students choose at checkout. You configure Stripe and PayPal price IDs per environment (test and live) directly in the plan settings. No duplicate product setup required.
What is Content Drip and which plan includes it?
Content Drip is a Pro feature that releases lessons on a fixed calendar date or a set number of days after a student enrolls. Students cannot access locked lessons ahead of schedule — the restriction is enforced at the API level, not just in the UI. Free includes a per-lesson available-date field for a single publish date.
How does cancellation work for students?
Students can cancel from their account billing page. The subscription cancels at the end of the current paid period and their access continues until then. Learnomy does not immediately revoke enrollment on cancel — it waits for the period to end, which is the standard expectation for subscription businesses.
Can I see my MRR and churn rate?
With Learnomy Pro, the Membership Analytics page shows active subscriber count, MRR, ARR, 30-day churn rate, and a cohort retention grid that shows how well each monthly signup cohort retains over time. All numbers are exportable to CSV.
Can I gate individual lessons or only full courses?
Both. Membership plans map to courses — only active subscribers can access the mapped courses. Inside a course, Content Drip (Pro) gates individual lessons by enrollment date or calendar date. Free includes a per-lesson available-date that makes a lesson unavailable before a set date regardless of membership status.
