Ways to make money

Every way to earn from your courses

Sell a course, a membership or a subscription, run a marketplace, or sell seats to companies. Most of it is in Learnomy Free, and none of it costs you a share of your sales.

In Learnomy Free

Eight ways to charge, no add-ons

Pick a model per course, mix them across your catalog, and change your mind until the first sale. Stripe and PayPal checkout are built in.

With Learnomy Pro

Bigger buyers, and revenue that stays

Pro adds products to sell to companies and gift buyers, and the tools that stop subscribers slipping away.

Why it pays better

Seven reasons owners keep more

  1. Free covers what others sell as add-ons

Checkout, memberships, coupons and instructor commissions are all in the free plugin. Many WordPress LMS plugins need a paid add-on, WooCommerce or MemberPress before a membership can be sold.

  2. No cut of your sales

Hosted platforms such as Teachable and Kajabi take a fee per sale on their lower plans and bill monthly. Learnomy takes nothing; you pay only Stripe or PayPal processing.

  3. No gateway IDs to copy

You type a price and Learnomy creates the Stripe or PayPal product on the first purchase, subscriptions included. There is no Price ID to mistype, so checkout cannot break that way.

  4. Selling to companies is built in

Seat limits, extra seat packs, team portals, department managers and compliance exports are one Pro module, not a separate B2B plugin or a custom build.

  5. Refunds take back what was bought

A refund removes the access it paid for, including learning paths, seat packs, team subscriptions and gift codes. A partial refund reduces the instructor commission in proportion.

  6. One checkout for everything

Courses, memberships, learning paths, seats and gift codes all go through the same checkout, so every product works with every gateway and every coupon.

  7. Paying customers are protected

Once someone has paid for a course, its pricing model is locked, so existing buyers are never moved onto terms they did not agree to.

Straight answers

Where others still win

  • Email campaigns, sequences and sales funnels. Kajabi bundles these; with Learnomy you add an email marketing plugin.
  • Selling courses as WooCommerce products. WooCommerce works as a payment gateway only.
  • Automatic reminder emails to a company team.

Common questions

Making money with Learnomy

Does Learnomy take a percentage of my sales?

No. Learnomy takes nothing from your sales. Money goes straight from your student to your Stripe or PayPal account, and you pay only the processor fees.

Can I sell single courses and memberships at the same time?

Yes. Each course has its own pricing model, so one course can be a one-time sale, another members-only, and a third available both ways. Membership plans can include any mix of courses.

Do I need WooCommerce or MemberPress?

No. Stripe and PayPal checkout, membership plans and coupons are built into Learnomy Free. WooCommerce can be connected as an optional payment gateway if you already run a store.

How do I sell training to a company?

With Learnomy Pro, Spaces lets you sell a seat bundle or a recurring team subscription, enforce the seat limit, and sell extra seats later. The company gets its own branded portal, adds people by CSV, and exports a compliance report.

Which models are in Free and which need Pro?

One-time, fixed-term and subscription course sales, membership plans, buy-or-join, sales and coupons, external selling and the instructor marketplace are all in Free. Team seats, paid learning paths, gift codes, subscription upgrades, pauses and retries, and Stripe Connect payouts need Pro.
