Want to offer online courses with certificates? You can issue your own, from your own website. A course certificate is proof that a named person finished a named course. It is issued the moment they finish. It carries the name of your school. And anyone can check that it is real. Students ask for a certificate for plain reasons. It is something they can show an employer. It gives them a reason to reach the last lesson. And it goes on their public profile, where every person who sees it also sees the name of your school. So the real question is where that certificate lives. On a rented course site, the page that proves it sits on their address, with their name beside yours. On your own WordPress site, the proof sits on your domain, for as long as your site is online. Here is how it works. You pick a certificate design. You attach it to a course.
