Run a music or arts school with Learnomy

Pacing: rolling enrollment, not a term start. Cohort Coaching Program, Phase 1, lays out open self-paced, drip-by-enrollment, and cohort dates. Most one-to-one instrument or art instruction runs drip-by-enrollment: each student starts on their own day and unlocks lesson N a set number of days after their own join date, rather than everyone starting together. Reserve cohort dates for a scheduled group class term (a "Fall Beginner Piano" class with a fixed number of weeks and a shared start date).

Video lessons for technique demonstrations. Set a lesson's Content Type to Video for a hosted or embedded player -- the right format for showing hand position, bowing technique, or a brush stroke, where text alone cannot demonstrate the motion. See Lesson Content Types.

File-upload assignments for recordings. The Pro Tools > Assignments module (Pro) attaches a graded task to a lesson. A student can submit typed text, one or more uploaded files, or a link to hosted content, in any combination the instructions ask for. Two shapes fit a music or arts school:

• Direct file upload -- the student uploads the recording or scanned work straight into the submission. Simplest for a short audio clip, a PDF of sheet music, or a photo of a finished piece.
• A link to hosted content -- the student submits a link to a video they uploaded to YouTube (unlisted) or a Drive folder, instead of uploading the file itself. Pick this for a longer performance video, where uploading the raw file to Learnomy's own storage is heavier than it needs to be.

Set a Due date if the school enforces one, and attach Reference files (a backing track, a rubric, a piece of sheet music) so every enrolled student sees them on the lesson whether or not they have submitted yet. See Assignments.

Instructor feedback loop. Grading happens in Learnomy > Pro Tools > Assignments: click Grade on a pending submission to see the student's text, files, or link, with a score field and an optional feedback box beside it. Assignment grading is a wp-admin (and REST) surface only -- unlike quiz-essay grading, it has no equivalent instructor-facing front-end page, so an instructor grading recordings needs a wp-admin login. Discussion stays per lesson. Cohort Coaching Program, Phase 4, weighs lesson comments against a full community. A one-to-one or small-studio school typically keeps lesson comments: a student's question about a specific technique posts directly under the lesson it concerns, with no need for a site-wide activity feed.
