Run a K-12 tutoring center with Learnomy

Who buys and who logs in. Learnomy does not have a separate parent or guardian login layered over a student account -- whoever completes checkout is the account that gets enrolled. State this honestly rather than promise a feature that does not exist, and pick one of two real patterns:

• The parent buys directly on the child's own account -- the parent logs in as (or creates) the account the child will also use, and completes checkout themselves. Simplest to set up, but the buyer and the learner share one login.
• Closed pricing, paid outside Learnomy -- set the course to Access granted externally (closed), collect tuition by invoice or another route outside Learnomy's checkout, then enroll the child's own account afterward, by hand or with Bulk Enroll from a List. Keeps the family's billing off Learnomy entirely, at the cost of reconciling payment yourself.

Drilling and assessment. Run a test-prep academy covers building a graded exam, its display templates, and its retake policy in full. A K-12 center typically runs Practice mode with an unlimited attempt limit for daily drills (the point is repetition), and Graded mode with a capped attempt limit plus per-student grants for a periodic assessment, the same combination the test-prep guide recommends for a standardized exam.

A gradebook that matches what the center actually assigns. Run a school or university department, Phase 2, covers the Gradebook's three weighted sources: Quizzes, Assignments, and Standards (SCORM). Set the weight on any source the center does not use to 0 rather than leave a phantom category nobody can ever earn -- a center that only runs quiz-based assessments should weight Quizzes 100 and the other two 0, not carry an empty Assignments column. Parents and students both read the result at My Account > Grades, and a quiz that groups its questions by subject also shows a Score by category breakdown so a parent can see which subject needs more attention, not just an overall score. • Lesson comments on, with reporting -- turn on Enable Lesson Comments so students can ask questions under a lesson. Any student can Report a comment they find inappropriate; reports land in Learnomy > Reported Content for you to dismiss or act on. From the lesson's own discussion panel an instructor also has Reply, Report, and Block actions on each comment. Pick this when supervised peer discussion is part of how the center teaches.
• Lesson comments off entirely -- turn the site-wide toggle off (or override it per course) so there is no open comment thread at all. Pick this for a younger age group where you would rather remove peer-to-peer discussion than moderate it.

A center serving a wide age range often runs both: comments on, with active moderation, for older students, and off for its youngest classes.
