Transcript

In this tutorial you will make a Learnomy course invite only. Nobody can buy it or join it. You add every student yourself. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a course. It suits staff training, a class, or a client team. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Pricing and Access. Choose Invite only. Set the Visibility. Update the course and add students. Then see it as a student. Step one. Open Pricing and Access. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Courses, and click Edit on your course. In the course form, scroll down to the Pricing and Access section. Step two. Choose Invite only. It is near the end of the list. You add the students, and nothing is shown for sale. There is nothing else to fill in. No price, no link, and no checkout. Step three. Set the Visibility. Invite only decides how people get in. Visibility, right below, decides who can see the course page. Public keeps the course in your catalog. Unlisted takes it out of the catalog. Private lets only enrolled students and admins open it. Step four. Update the course and add students. Click Update Course in the Publish box. Then add your students on the course screen. The Enroll a Student card takes one person, or a whole list of emails. Each student you add gets a welcome notice, and an email with a link to the course. The course still shows in your catalog, unless you change its Visibility. Step five. See it as a student. Sign in as a student who was not added, and open the course. Where the price would be, it says Invite only. Under it is a note. Enrollment is by invitation. There is no button to enroll or to pay. In the catalog, the card says Invite only too, where other cards show a price. That is all five. Pricing and Access opened, Invite only chosen, the Visibility set, the course updated and students added, and the result checked as a student. Your course is now open only to the people you add.
