Run a fitness or yoga studio with Learnomy

You run a fitness or yoga studio and want to sell ongoing access to a library of class videos, plus a live weekly class students join at a set time. Students pay a recurring rate to stay a member, not a one-time fee per class.

This is Membership Content Library and Cohort Coaching Program with these adjustments. Read those two guides first; this page only covers what a studio does differently, and links back into their walkthroughs for every step it does not repeat.

What's different for a studio

  1. How the class library is paced. Membership Content Library and the cohort guide's Phase 1 lay out three pacing models: open self-paced, no drip rules at all; drip-by-enrollment, where content unlocks N days after each student's own join date; and cohort dates, where every student in a batch unlocks the same content on the same calendar day. A rolling, always-open class library (the normal case for a studio) wants open self-paced -- every recorded class is available the moment someone subscribes, the same way an on-demand video library works. Reach for cohort dates only for a structured, start-together program with a fixed number of weeks, such as an "8-Week Beginner Vinyasa Program." See Cohort Coaching Program, Phase 1.

  2. Membership plan structure. Membership Content Library, Phase 1, covers a single plan versus tiered plans. A studio typically runs tiered: an entry plan for a smaller slice of the on-demand library and a full plan that adds the complete catalog plus the live weekly class. Set each plan's Courses included checklist so the entry plan attaches only the beginner class videos and the full plan attaches everything.

  3. Trial length. The same guide's Phase 1 step 4 lays out no trial versus an N-day trial. A studio without a free tier of its own (unlike Aurora Academy's free plan in that guide) typically wants a short trial, 7 to 14 days, so a prospective member can try a few classes before the first charge. See Membership Plans.

  4. Live class scheduling. The live weekly session uses the Live lesson content type: a Join link, a Starts at time, and a Runs for duration, exactly as covered in the cohort guide's Phase 2. Learnomy does not create the Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams room for you -- set up the call in whichever tool you already use, then paste the join link into the lesson. There is also no recurring-event feature: a weekly class needs its own lesson entry (or its Starts at field updated) each week, not a single lesson that repeats itself automatically. See Cohort Coaching Program, Phase 2.

  5. Locking class videos to members. Pricing and Access Models lists eight pricing models; a studio leans on the same two Membership Content Library covers in its Phase 2: Members only for videos reserved entirely for subscribers, and One-time or members for a flagship class or workshop you also want to sell as a single drop-in purchase to a non-member. Most of a studio's on-demand library is Members only, since the point of the plan is unlimited access to everything it includes.
