Transcript

In this tutorial you will use notifications in Learnomy, the way a student does. They tell a student about enrolments, results and certificates. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a student account. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Find the bell. Open the list. Open the Notifications page. Then mark notifications read. Step one. Find the bell. Sign in as a student and open a Learnomy page, such as My Account. Learnomy adds a round bell at the bottom right of the window. The number on the bell is how many notifications are unread. The same number is beside Notifications in the account menu. Step two. Open the list. Click the bell. It lists the unread notifications, newest first, up to ten. Each one has a title, a short message, and how long ago it happened. Here, a quiz was submitted and an enrolment was confirmed. Step three. Open the Notifications page. In the account menu, click Notifications. This page lists the notifications of this student, read and unread, newest first. A new site keeps them for three hundred and sixty five days. The line above the list counts the unread ones. Unread notifications have a tinted background. Step four. Mark notifications read. Click a notification to mark it read. If it has a link, it also opens the course or certificate it is about. Or click Mark all read to clear the count in one go. That is all four. The bell found, the list opened, the Notifications page opened, and notifications marked read. You now know what your students are told, and where they read it. Next in this series: Find orders and receipts.
