Transcript

In this tutorial you will add sections and lessons to a course in Learnomy, using the Course Builder. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a course you have already created. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open the Course Builder. Add a section. Add a lesson. Fill in the lesson. Put lessons in order. Then see the curriculum as a student. Step one. Open the Course Builder. Open Learnomy, then Courses, and click Edit on your course. In the course form, click Curriculum at the top. The Manage Curriculum button further down does the same. Step two. Add a section. Sections are chapters. They are optional, but they keep a long course tidy. Click Add Section. Type a short name that students will see in the curriculum, then click Add Section. Step three. Add a lesson. Every section has its own Add Lesson button. Click the one under the section you want. Give the lesson a title that says what students will learn, then click Add Lesson. Step four. Fill in the lesson. Click a lesson title to open the lesson editor. Choose a Content Type: text, video, audio, PDF and more. Then add the content itself. Tick Preview to let visitors open this lesson before they enroll. Click Update Lesson when you are done. Step five. Put lessons in order. Use the arrows on the right of a lesson or a section to move it up or down. Lessons can also be dragged by the handle on the left. Click Preview to open the course page and check it. Step six. See the curriculum as a student. Sign in as a student and open the course. The course outline lists your sections in order. Click a section to see the lessons inside it. That is all six. The Course Builder opened, a section added, a lesson added, the lesson filled in, the order set, and the curriculum checked as a student. Your course now has a curriculum students can follow. Next in this series: Add a quiz to a course.
