Transcript

In this tutorial you will create a course in Learnomy, with a title, a picture, a description and a visibility. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a course picture. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open Courses and click Add New. Type the title and description. Choose the picture. Set the visibility. Create the course. Then see a course as a student. Step one. Open Courses and click Add New. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Courses. Click Add New. The course form opens. Step two. Type the title and description. Start with the Course Title. The web address is made from it. Write the full description in the Description box. It appears on the course page. Then add a Short Description. One or two sentences, shown on the catalogue card. Step three. Choose the picture. In the Featured Image box, click Select Image and pick a picture from your media library. A wide picture works best, 1280 by 720 pixels. You can paste an image address instead. Step four. Set the visibility. Scroll to Pricing and Access and find Visibility. Public lists the course in the catalogue. Unlisted hides it, but anyone with the link can enroll. Private is only for enrolled students and admins. Step five. Create the course. In the Publish box, Status starts as Draft. Students cannot see a draft. Click Create Course to keep it. Change Status to Published when the course is ready. Step six. See a course as a student. Sign in as a student and open Courses. A published, public course shows as a card, with its picture and title. Open it, and the description is under About This Course. That is all six. Courses opened, the title and description typed, the picture chosen, the visibility set, the course created, and a course checked as a student. Your course has a page. Next it needs lessons. Next in this series: Add sections and lessons.
