In this tutorial you will add a reading passage to a quiz question in Learnomy. Students read it, then answer. You need the free Learnomy plugin, with the Quizzes module on. It is on by default. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the question editor. Write the question. Add the Passage or Context. Finish the question. Then check a saved passage. Step one. Open the question editor. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Question Bank. Click Add Question for a new one, or Edit on a question you already have. Step two. Write the question. Question Text is the question itself. Keep it short. The text to read goes in its own box, right under it. Step three. Add the Passage or Context. It is the box under Question Text, and it is optional. Click in it and type the text students should read. The plus button adds other blocks. A heading, a list, an image, an embed or a table. When a student takes the quiz, the passage sits above the answers. The line under the box says so. Step four. Finish the question. Pick the Type. A passage works with every type. Add the answers and mark the correct one. Then click Create Question at the bottom of the page. Step five. Check a saved passage. Open a saved question, and the passage is there with its formatting. The passage is saved with the question, not with one quiz. The Details box shows this question is used in two quizzes. That is all five. The question editor opened, the question written, the passage added, the question finished, and a saved passage checked. Your question now comes with something to read.
