Transcript

In this tutorial you will set the difficulty of a course in Learnomy, and say who the course is for. Both show on the course page. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a course. It takes about two minutes. There are five steps. Open the section. Choose a Difficulty. Describe the Target Audience. Update the course. Then see it as a student. Step one. Open the section. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Courses, and click Edit on your course. In the course form, scroll down to the section called Prerequisites, Difficulty and Target. Step two. Choose a Difficulty. The Difficulty list has four levels. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. Leave it on Select, and the course page shows no level at all. Step three. Describe the Target Audience. In the Target Audience box, write a sentence or two about who the course is for. Below it, What you will learn takes one outcome on each line. Every line becomes a bullet point on the course page. Estimated Duration, above, is the total time the course takes. Leave it at zero, and Learnomy adds up the lesson lengths instead. Step four. Update the course. Click Update Course in the Publish box. Difficulty, Target Audience and What you will learn are optional. An empty one is left off the course page. Step five. See it as a student. Sign in as a student and open the course. The level is on a badge at the top, next to the category. Further down, What You Will Learn lists your outcomes. And Who This Course Is For shows your Target Audience text. That is all five. The section opened, a Difficulty chosen, the Target Audience described, the course updated, and the result checked as a student. Students can now tell at a glance if a course fits them. Next in this series: Enroll students in a course.
