Transcript

In this tutorial you will moderate course reviews in Learnomy. You decide which reviews students see. You need the free Learnomy plugin, with the Reviews module on. It is on by default. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Reviews. Filter by status. Approve, reject or reply. Choose how reviews are published. Then see reviews as a student. Step one. Open Reviews. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Reviews. Each row is one review, with its author, course, star rating and status. Step two. Filter by status. The tabs above the list are All, Pending, Approved, Rejected and Spam. Each shows a count. A new review waits under Pending until you approve it. Students do not see it before that. On this site nothing is waiting. Step three. Approve, reject or reply. Under each review is a button. A pending review shows Approve. An approved one shows Reject, which hides it from the course page. The three dots open more actions. Spam, Mark Pending, Reply and Delete. Click Reply to write a public answer under the review, then click Save reply. Step four. Choose how reviews are published. Open L M S Settings, then Settings, and click Reviews. Auto-Approve is off by default. Turn it on to publish new reviews at once, with no moderation. Who can review is also off by default, so any enrolled student can review. Turn it on to accept reviews only from students who completed the course. Then click Save Changes. Step five. See reviews as a student. Sign in as a student and open a course. The average rating is under the course title. Further down, the rating summary counts the approved reviews, star by star. Only enrolled students can add their own review. That is all five. Reviews opened, the list filtered by status, a review approved, rejected or answered, the publishing rules chosen, and reviews checked as a student. You now control which reviews your students see. Next in this series: Add a question to the Question Bank.
