Transcript

In this tutorial you will see how students enroll in a course in Learnomy, and how you enroll a student yourself. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a published course. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. See how students enroll. See a paid course. Open the course screen. Enroll a student by hand. Check Enrolled Students. Then see how a student leaves. Step one. See how students enroll. Sign in as a student and open a free course. The card on the right has an Enroll Now button. One click enrolls the student. There is no payment step. Step two. See a paid course. On a course with a price, the button says Buy Now, and it goes to checkout. The student is enrolled only after the payment goes through. Step three. Open the course screen. Now sign in as the site owner. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Courses, and click the title of a course. The course screen opens. Under the Overview is a card called Enroll a Student. Step four. Enroll a student by hand. Type the email address or the username of someone who already has an account on your site. Then click Enroll. The student gets the course with no payment. Step five. Check Enrolled Students. Further down, Enrolled Students lists everyone in the course, with their status and progress. The Source column shows how each one got in. On this course everyone enrolled themselves, so it says Free. Remove access takes a student out of the course. Their record is kept, marked as cancelled. Step six. See how a student leaves. Sign in as the student again. On a free course they joined themselves, the card has a Leave this Course button. A course you added them to has no such button, and neither does one they paid for. Only you can remove those. That is all six. Enroll Now on a free course, Buy Now on a paid one, the course screen, a student enrolled by hand, the Enrolled Students list, and how a student leaves. You now know every way a student gets into a course. Next in this series: Enroll a list of students at once.
