Transcript

In this tutorial you will download and print a certificate in Learnomy, the way a student does after finishing a course. You need the free Learnomy plugin, with the Certificates module on. It is off on a new site. You also need a student who has earned a certificate. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Certificates. Download the PDF. Open the verification page. Print from the verification page. Then save as PDF from the print view. Step one. Open Certificates. Sign in as a student and open My Account. In the account menu, click Certificates. Every certificate the student has earned is a card, with the course, the date it was issued, and a short credential ID. Step two. Download the PDF. On the card, click Download. The certificate opens as a PDF in a new tab, ready to keep. The link belongs to this one certificate, so it works even when the student is signed out. Step three. Open the verification page. On the same card, click Verify. This is the public page for this one certificate. Anyone with the link can open it, with no login. It shows the certificate, and says Certificate Verified. Step four. Print from the verification page. Under the certificate there are two buttons. Download saves the PDF. Print opens a print view in a new tab, and brings up the print box of the browser. Step five. Save as PDF from the print view. This is the print view. It holds only the certificate, and two buttons under it. Print, Save as PDF opens the print box, where a student picks a printer or saves a PDF. The buttons are left off the printed page. That is all five. Certificates opened, the PDF downloaded, the verification page opened, the certificate printed from it, and a PDF saved from the print view. Your students can now keep their certificate as a file, or on paper. Next in this series: Share a certificate on LinkedIn.
