In this tutorial you will take notes and bookmark lessons in Learnomy, the way a student does while learning. You need Learnomy Pro. Notes and Bookmarks is one of its extensions, and it starts switched off. You also need a student enrolled in a course. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Turn on Notes and Bookmarks. Open the notes on a lesson. Write and tag a note. Bookmark the lesson. Then find them in My Account. Step one. Turn on Notes and Bookmarks. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Modules. Under Student experience, find the Notes and Bookmarks card. It has a Pro badge. It starts switched off. Click its switch to turn it on. Here it is already on. Step two. Open the notes on a lesson. Now sign in as a student and open a lesson of a course you are enrolled in. Under the lesson is a bar called Notes for this Lesson, with a count. Click the bar and the notes open. Each note has a title, the note itself, and tags. A lesson can hold as many notes as you like. Other students and instructors do not see them. The site owner can read them under Learnomy, Student Notes. Step three. Write and tag a note. Open the notes, scroll to the foot of the list, and click Add note. An empty note appears. Give it a title if you want one. Then write the note. There is nothing to press. A moment after you stop typing, the line under the note reads Saved. To tag the note, type a word in Add a tag and press Enter. Tags are your own, and ones you used before are offered as you type. Step four. Bookmark the lesson. At the end of the notes bar is a bookmark button. Click it to mark this lesson, so you can come back to it. The bookmark fills in. It is stored at once. Click it again and the bookmark is gone. Step five. Find them in My Account. Open My Account, then Notes and Bookmarks. Every note from every course is here, newest first, with the note written a moment ago at the top. Search your notes, pick one course, or click a tag to narrow the list. Open Lesson takes you back to where the note was written. The Bookmarks tab lists the lessons you marked, each with a button to open it. That is all five. Notes and Bookmarks turned on, the notes opened on a lesson, a note written and tagged, the lesson bookmarked, and all of it found in My Account. Your students can now keep their own notes beside every lesson. Next in this series: Use the Conversational quiz layout.
