In this tutorial you will run the setup wizard in Learnomy. It asks a few questions, and turns on the parts of the plugin your kind of site needs. You need the free Learnomy plugin. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the setup wizard. Start from Welcome. Set the catalog address and currency. Choose your kind of academy. Then continue, and know what is saved. Step one. Open the setup wizard. On a new site the wizard opens by itself, right after you activate Learnomy. To run it again later, open L M S Settings, then Settings, and scroll to the bottom of General. Click Open setup wizard. The wizard fills the whole screen, without the WordPress menu. Step two. Start from Welcome. The row at the top shows the four parts of the wizard. Welcome, Configure, Demo and Done. Get Started moves on. Skip setup asks you to confirm, then marks the setup as finished and changes nothing else. It is not clicked here. You can run the wizard again at any time. Step three. Set the catalog address and currency. Click Get Started. Course catalog slug is the word in the address of your course catalog. It starts as courses. Use small letters, numbers and hyphens only. Currency is the one your prices will use. Both can be changed later, in Settings. Step four. Choose your kind of academy. Under What kind of academy are seven tiles. Each one turns on a set of modules. Courses and Quizzes is picked for you. It adds quizzes, certificates, reviews and email notifications. Simple Courses leaves all of those off. Paid Courses adds payments, coupons, and a revenue split for instructors. Membership site adds payments, membership plans and coupons. Train my own team is for staff training, with nothing for sale. School or team seats needs Spaces, in Learnomy Pro, for the seat selling itself. Custom starts from the default modules. Step five. Continue, and know what is saved. Continue saves the address word, the currency and the kind of academy, and marks the setup as finished. It is not clicked here. When you run the wizard again later, it opens on the kind of academy you chose last time. Continue changes your modules only if you pick a different tile. After Continue comes Demo, where the wizard can add example courses and students for you to explore, and then Done. On a site that is already set up, it adds nothing unless you choose it. That is all five. The wizard opened, Welcome read, the catalog address and currency set, the kind of academy chosen, and what Continue saves known. Your site can now be set up in a few minutes.
