Transcript

In this tutorial you will find your way around Settings in Learnomy. One page holds the settings for the whole plugin, split into sections. You need the free Learnomy plugin. Some sections are there only while their module is on, and step five covers that. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Settings. Read the section list. Open a section. Save one section at a time. Then find a missing section. Step one. Open Settings. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Settings. The list of sections is on the left, and the section you are in is on the right. The page opens on General. Step two. Read the section list. The sections are in groups. General is for how the site looks and its addresses, names and sign-up fields. Commerce is for payments, instructors, commissions and the membership page. Communication has Emails and Reviews. Content has Course Comments, Certificate Defaults, Quiz Settings and Learning Standards. Advanced has A P I and Performance, and Data Management. Learnomy Pro adds sections of its own at the end, such as License. Step three. Open a section. Click its name in the list. Here it is Quiz Settings. The right side changes to that section, and the page does not reload. A section is made of cards, and every card starts with its title. Step four. Save one section at a time. Every section ends with its own Save Changes button. It is not clicked here. It saves the section you are in, and only that one. If you changed a field in another section and did not save it there, that change is lost. Learnomy asks you first, in a box called Discard unsaved changes. So save each section before you move to the next. Step five. Find a missing section. Seven sections are tied to a module. Payments, Commissions, Membership Page, Emails, Reviews, Certificate Defaults and Quiz Settings. While its module is off, the section is not in the list. Modules are under L M S Settings, then Modules. Commissions and Payouts, Membership and Certificates are off on a new site, unless the setup wizard turned them on. Each card lists what the module adds. A switch here saves at once, so none is clicked. One section follows a setting, not a module. Instructors is hidden while solo mode is on. That is all five. Settings opened, the section list read, a section opened, saving one section at a time, and a missing section found. You now know where to look for any Learnomy setting. Next in this series: Set up your emails.
