Transcript

In this tutorial you will use the Sectioned exam layout in Learnomy. It splits a long exam into parts, the way big mock exams do. You need Learnomy Pro. The layout is one of its three extra quiz layouts. You also need the Quizzes module, and a quiz with questions. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Pick Sectioned and set it up. Open the exam as a student. Work through the sections. Then find the result later. Step one. Pick Sectioned and set it up. Open Learnomy, then Quizzes, and edit your quiz. In the section called Behaviour, go to Display template and click the Sectioned card. It has a Pro badge. Above it, Section navigation has two choices. Linear, where each section is finished in order. And Free, where the candidate picks the order and can switch until they hand in. Questions per section sets the size of each part, from one to a hundred. Ten is where it starts. Here it is three, so nine questions make three sections. Then click Update Quiz. Here everything is already stored, so nothing is clicked. Step two. Open the exam as a student. Now sign in as a student and open the quiz. The start screen lists nine questions, twenty minutes, and the passing score. The last rule is from this layout. Multi-section exam, complete each section in order. Step three. Work through the sections. Click Start Quiz. The exam opens on the first question of Section 1. The top row has the section, the question number inside it, a bar with one piece for each section, and the clock. One clock runs for the whole exam. Questions come one at a time. Pick an answer, then click Next. On the last question of a section, the button reads End Section. In Linear order, ending a section is final. A box asks you to confirm, because you cannot return to it. Then a card introduces the next section, with how many questions it holds. Click Begin Section. The other two sections go the same way, and they are answered quickly here. After the last section the exam is handed in. The review is grouped by section, with how many were right in each. Step four. Find the result later. Open My Account, then Quiz Attempts. The exam is listed with its score and the date. Review opens the same section by section review again, whenever the student wants it. That is all four. Sectioned picked and set up, the exam opened as a student, the sections worked through, and the result found later. Your long exams now come in parts. Next in this series: Draw questions from a pool and time each one.
