How to use the Conversational quiz layout in Learnomy, step by step: pick the Conversational display template on a quiz, open the quiz as a student, answer one question at a time, and find the result later in My Account.

In this tutorial you will use the Conversational quiz layout in Learnomy. It is made for short, light knowledge checks. You need Learnomy Pro. The layout is one of its three extra quiz layouts. You also need the Quizzes module, and a quiz with questions. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Pick Conversational. Open the quiz as a student. Answer the questions. Then find the result later. Step one. Pick Conversational. Open Learnomy, then Quizzes, and edit your quiz. Open the section called Behaviour, and go to its last field, Display template. Click the Conversational card. It has a Pro badge. One question at a time, best for casual knowledge checks. Then click Update Quiz. On this quiz the layout is already stored, so nothing is clicked here. Step two. Open the quiz as a student. Now sign in as a student and open the quiz. The start screen has the title, how many questions there are, and the passing score. Nothing is counted until the student clicks Start Quiz. Step three. Answer the questions. Click Start Quiz. One question fills the screen, with a thin line across the top that grows as you go. Click an answer, and the next question comes up by itself. There is no Next button. When a question has a hint, Show hint is under the answers. When more than one answer can be right, the layout waits. Tick every answer that applies, then click Continue. Continue takes you to the next question. You can also press the number key of an answer to choose it, as here with the one key. Each answer is saved as you go. The last answer hands the quiz in. There is no separate button for that. The result comes up at once. The score, and passed or not passed. Click Review your answers, and every question is listed under it, with the right answer marked. Step four. Find the result later. Open My Account, then Quiz Attempts. The attempt is listed with its score and the date. Review opens the same question by question review again, whenever the student wants it. That is all four. Conversational picked, the quiz opened as a student, the questions answered, and the result found later. Your quick checks now feel light and fast to take.
