Transcript

In this tutorial you will choose a quiz mode in Learnomy. The mode decides whether a quiz is a graded test, a practice run, or a survey. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a quiz. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Open Quizzes. Pick the Mode. Set the passing score. Then see each mode as a student. Step one. Open Quizzes. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Quizzes. The Type column shows the mode of each quiz. The links above the list filter it by mode. Here is Practice. To change a mode, click Edit on the quiz. Step two. Pick the Mode. In the quiz editor, the Basic section has a field called Mode. There are three modes. Graded, Practice and Survey. A new quiz starts as Graded. A Graded quiz is a test. It can count toward finishing the course, when the course asks for its quizzes to be passed. A Practice quiz is scored, so students see how they did, but it never holds up the course. A Survey collects answers and gives no score. Step three. Set the passing score. In the Grading section, drag Passing score. A student passes at this percentage or above. Seventy is the default. Then click Update Quiz to keep the mode you picked. Step four. See each mode as a student. Sign in as a student and open a practice quiz. The start screen says attempts are unlimited. Now a survey. In place of a passing score, it says the answers are collected, not scored. That is all four. Quizzes opened, the Mode picked, the passing score set, and each mode seen as a student. Your quiz now runs in the mode you chose. Next in this series: Choose a quiz layout.
