How to review an instructor application in Learnomy, step by step: see the form a member fills in, open Learnomy, then Instructors, then Applications, read the application, approve or reject it, and see what the applicant sees.

In this tutorial you will review an instructor application in Learnomy. A member applies to teach, and you decide. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a member who has applied. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. See the application form. Open Applications. Read the application. Approve or reject. Then see what the applicant sees. Step one. See the application form. A member who is signed in opens the page called Apply as Instructor. A visitor who is not signed in is sent to a sign-up form for instructors, which is not shown here. They fill in About You, Areas of Expertise and Course Idea. Teaching Experience is optional. Then they click Submit Application. It is not clicked here. Step two. Open Applications. Now back to the site owner. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Instructors, and click the Applications tab. The number on the tab counts the applications that are waiting. The list opens on Pending. Approved and Rejected are beside it. Step three. Read the application. A row shows the start of the bio and of the course idea. Click the name to read all of it. The Application card has the expertise, the teaching experience, the bio, the course idea, and how the applicant would like to be paid. Step four. Approve or reject. Approve and Reject are at the top of this page, and on the row in the list. Neither is clicked here. Approve asks you to confirm. The member then becomes an instructor, with their own dashboard, and can create courses. Reject asks you for a reason. The applicant sees that reason, and can apply again. Learnomy notifies the applicant of either decision. Step five. See what the applicant sees. Now sign in as the member who applied and open the same page. While you decide, it says Application Under Review, with the date they applied. After approval, their instructor dashboard takes its place. That is all five. The application form seen, Applications opened, the application read, Approve and Reject found, and the page seen as the applicant. You now know how a member becomes an instructor on your site.
