How to build a course from the front end in Learnomy, step by step: turn on the Frontend Course Builder extension, start a course from the Instructor Dashboard, add sections and lessons, review and publish, and edit the course later.
In this tutorial you will build a course from the front end in Learnomy. It is how an instructor works without the WordPress admin. You need Learnomy Pro. Frontend Course Builder is one of its extensions, and it starts switched off. You also need an instructor account. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Turn on the builder. Start a course. Add the curriculum. Review and publish. Then edit it later. Step one. Turn on the builder. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Modules, and find the Frontend Course Builder card. It has a Pro badge. It starts switched off. Click its switch to turn it on. Here it is already on, so the switch is blue. Step two. Start a course. Now sign in as an instructor. In the Instructor Dashboard, open My Courses and click Create Course. The builder has four parts across the top. Course Info, Curriculum, Settings, and Review and Publish. On Course Info, type the Course Title. It is the one thing you must fill in. Add a Description, a Category and a Course Thumbnail. Access Type is Free or Paid, and Paid asks for a price. Then click Next. Step three. Add the curriculum. On the Curriculum part, type a Section title and click Add Section. Inside the section, type a lesson name where it says Add Lesson and press Enter. Do the same under Add Quiz for a quiz. Nothing is stored on the site yet. The course is kept in this page until you save it, so do not close the tab. Step four. Review and publish. The Settings part has the Completion Requirement, which is what a student must do to finish the course. Review and Publish sums up the course. Its title, its access, and what is in the curriculum. Save as Draft stores the course so you can come back to it. It is not clicked here. Publish Course puts it live. On a site where the owner reviews courses first, it is sent for review instead. Step five. Edit it later. Back in My Courses, every course has an Edit link. It opens the same four parts with more settings. Changes to the course are stored when you click Save Changes at the top. Preview shows the course page in a new tab. That is all five. The builder turned on, a course started, the curriculum added, the course reviewed, and the editor found for later. Your instructors can now build courses without the admin. Next in this series: Use the gradebook.

Prompt and thorough feedback and responses, very easy to work with, really excellent customer service. I'm grateful to the team, particularly Kerit and Shashank, for their patience and help.
Swift and expert coding by Kerit to apply a personalised display adjustment on the Reign Theme for a media plugin that was not fully supported at the moment.
I received a very nice answer just a few hours after I created a ticket. Funnily enough, the feature I had requested in my ticket had just been implemented and released, so Kerit asked me to update the LD Dashboard plugin. It all works as I had hoped for my use case. Maybe I wasn't the first to…
Excellent service from Kerit Piplani and his team. Quick and efficient with my websites. I look forward to lots more business with them.
