Transcript

In this tutorial you will set and grade an assignment in Learnomy. Students hand in work on a lesson, and you score it. You need Learnomy Pro. Assignments is one of its extensions, and it starts switched off. You also need a course with lessons. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Turn on Assignments. Add an assignment. Grade a hand-in. Then see it as a student. Step one. Turn on Assignments. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Modules, and find the Assignments card. It has a Pro badge. It starts switched off. Click its switch to turn it on. Here it is already on, so the switch is blue. Step two. Add an assignment. Open Learnomy, then Pro Tools, and click the Assignments card. Click Add New. Give it a Title, and choose the Lesson it belongs to. The work is handed in on that lesson. Instructions tell the student what to hand in. Max score is the most marks it can earn. A new form starts at one hundred. Due date is optional. After it passes, a student who has not handed in can no longer do so. Then click Save assignment. It is not clicked here. Step three. Grade a hand-in. The list shows each assignment with its Submissions, and how many are Pending. Click Grade on its row. Every hand-in has a card, with what the student wrote. A waiting one is marked Pending. Type a Score, a whole number up to the max score, and a line of Feedback. Then click Grade. It is not clicked here. Request resubmit sends the work back instead. It needs a note in Feedback, and the student can then hand in again. Step four. See it as a student. Now sign in as a student of the course and open the lesson. The assignment is under the lesson text, with its due date. This one is graded, so the student sees the score and the instructor feedback. A student only ever sees their own hand-in. On a lesson with work still to do, the student types under Your submission. They can attach files or add a link, then click Submit. One hand-in is allowed. In My Account, Assignments lists every one with its Grade, its Status and when it is Due. That is all four. Assignments turned on, an assignment added, a hand-in graded, and the result seen as a student. Your lessons can now ask for real work, and give a grade back.
