How to enrol students from another system in Learnomy, step by step: open the Incoming sales card under LMS Settings, then Webhooks, copy the Endpoint URL and the Signing secret, see what your store has to send, and send a test sale.
In this tutorial you will enrol students from another system in Learnomy. You sell the course somewhere else, and that store tells Learnomy who has paid. You need the free Learnomy plugin, and a store or an automation tool that can send a signed request. Nothing else has to be turned on. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Open Incoming sales. Copy the address and the secret. Know what your store sends. Then send a test sale. Step one. Open Incoming sales. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Webhooks. The first card on that screen is Incoming sales. It works for any course. A sale made on another platform is recorded here, and handled like a sale on your own site. The buyer is enrolled. The line under the heading tells you when the last request came in. Here nothing has been received yet. View the log opens the full list. Step two. Copy the address and the secret. Endpoint U R L is where your store sends its request. Copy it with the button at the end of the field. Signing secret is the key your store signs each request with. The eye shows it, and the button beside it copies it. Without a secret, every request is refused. Regenerate makes a new secret. The old one keeps working for twenty-four hours, so you have time to update your store. It is not clicked here. Step three. Know what your store sends. The note under the address spells it out. A small message with four things. The email of the buyer, the number of the course, your order number, and the amount. If the buyer has no account yet, Learnomy makes one. Always send your order number. A request that arrives twice is then recorded once. For a refund, send the same order number again, marked as a refund. To take access away without touching the money, mark it as revoke. The message is signed with your secret, and the signature goes in a header named X Learnomy Signature. At the foot of the card, Connect Make or Zapier lists the steps for both tools. Amounts are in your site currency. A request in another currency is refused. Step four. Send a test sale. Before you connect your store, check the chain from here. In the row called Send a test sale, pick a course and type an email address. Send test signs a real request with your secret, and runs the whole sale and enrollment. Then it removes the test sale again, and nobody is notified. It is not clicked here. That is all four. Incoming sales opened, the address and the secret copied, the message understood, and a test explained. A sale anywhere can now open a course on your site. Camila Scot of Wbcom was helpful. I got a super prompt help with my BuddyX Theme. Although I am a free version user, I got irst attention. I am satisfied. I will eventually buy the lifetime version once we fully deploy it and we are sure it meets our need.
