Transcript

In this tutorial you will set a price for a course in Learnomy, or make the course free. You need the free Learnomy plugin and a course. To take real payments you also need a payment gateway, which has its own tutorial in this series. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open Pricing and Access. Make the course free. Set a one-time price. Add a sale price. Save the course. Then see the price as a student. Step one. Open Pricing and Access. Open Learnomy, then Courses, and click Edit on your course. Scroll down to the Pricing and Access section. Step two. Make the course free. Choose Free. Anyone who is signed in can enroll, with no payment. The same list has Invite only, and a choice for courses you sell somewhere else. With the Membership module on, it also has Members only. Step three. Set a one-time price. Choose One-time payment, lifetime access. The student pays once and keeps the course. Price fields appear below. Type the Regular price. There is also a time-limited option, and a Recurring subscription, which needs Stripe. Step four. Add a sale price. Type a Sale price next to the regular one. Set Sale starts and Sale ends. Outside those dates the regular price applies. Step five. Save the course. Click Update Course in the Publish box. Once a student has paid, the pricing model is locked. To sell the course another way, duplicate it from the Courses list and price the copy. Step six. See the price as a student. Sign in as a student and open a free course. It says Free, with an Enroll Now button. A paid course shows its price, and the button says Buy Now. That is all six. Pricing and Access opened, the free choice shown, a one-time price set, a sale price added, the course saved, and the price checked as a student. Your course now has a price, or it is free to join. Next in this series: Turn on a certificate for a course.
