Transcript

In this tutorial you will connect a payment gateway in Learnomy, so students can pay for your courses. You need the free Learnomy plugin and a Stripe account. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open Payments. Turn on Stripe. Paste your Stripe keys. Add the webhook. Save and test. Then see the Buy button as a student. Step one. Open Payments. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Settings, and click Payments. Learnomy takes payments through Stripe, PayPal or WooCommerce. This tutorial uses Stripe. Step two. Turn on Stripe. Tick Enable Stripe. Under Mode, choose Test while you set up. Test mode never charges a real card. Switch to Live when you are ready to sell. Live mode has its own set of keys. Step three. Paste your Stripe keys. Copy the publishable key from your Stripe dashboard and paste it into Test Publishable Key. Do the same with the secret key. Learnomy stores it encrypted. Step four. Add the webhook. Click Copy next to Webhook URL. In your Stripe dashboard, add it as a webhook endpoint, and select the events listed on this screen. Without them, a buyer can be charged and not enrolled. Stripe gives you a signing secret. Paste it into Test Webhook Signing Secret. Step five. Save and test. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page. Then click Test Stripe Connection. It checks your keys without charging anything. With Stripe on and a key saved, the card says Connected. The test button is what proves the keys work. Step six. See the Buy button as a student. Sign in as a student and open a paid course. The price is in the box on the right. Buy Now takes the student to checkout, where they pay by card without leaving your site. That is all six. Payments opened, Stripe turned on, your keys pasted, the webhook added, the settings saved and tested, and the Buy button checked as a student. Your academy can now take payments for its courses.
