Transcript

In this tutorial you will handle reported content in Learnomy. Members can report a course, a lesson comment or a course review, and every report waits in one list for you. You need the free Learnomy plugin. Reporting is always on, with no module and no setting. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. See how a member reports. Open Reported Content. Read a report. Look at the reported item. Then close the report. Step one. See how a member reports. Sign in as a member. On a course page, under the course details, is Report this Course. In a lesson, each comment written by someone else has a Report button. Members do not get one on their own content. Clicking it opens a box that asks for a reason. The reason is optional. Nothing is hidden when a report is sent. The item stays where it is until you decide. The report is not sent here. Step two. Open Reported Content. In your WordPress admin, open Learnomy, then Reported Content. Only administrators have this page. The page lists every report, newest first. The links above the table count them. Open is the number still waiting for you. When a member sends a report, Learnomy notifies the site owner. An open report stays in this list until you close it, however old it is. Step three. Read a report. Each row is one report. Reported item is what was reported, and Type says whether it is a Course, a Review or a Comment. Reporter is the member who sent it, and Reason is what they wrote. Status starts as Open. The links above the table filter the list. All, Open, Dismissed and Actioned, each with its count. Step four. Look at the reported item. Here a member has reported a lesson comment for advertising. The row shows the words of the comment. View item opens the item on its own screen. For a comment that is the comment editor, for a review the Reviews list, and for a course the course itself. That is where you edit or remove it. It is not clicked here. Step five. Close the report. Each open row has two buttons. Dismiss is for a report where you found nothing wrong. Mark actioned is for a report you have dealt with. Neither button changes the reported item. They only close the report. Neither is clicked here. A closed report leaves the Open list and moves to Dismissed or Actioned, so you keep a record of what was reported and what you did. That is all five. A report seen from the member side, Reported Content opened, a report read, the item looked at, and the report closed. Reports from your members now have a place to be dealt with. Next in this series: Manage your stored data.
