In this tutorial you will set instructor commissions in Learnomy. A commission is how each sale is split between your site and the instructor. You need the free Learnomy plugin, with the Commissions and Payouts module on. It is off on a new site, unless the setup wizard turned it on. Turn it on under L M S Settings, then Modules. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open Commissions. Set the Platform Commission. Open Earnings. Add a rule for one course. Find Withdrawal Requests. Then see earnings as an instructor. Step one. Open Commissions. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Settings, and click Commissions. The tab is there only while the Commissions and Payouts module is on. The first card is Commission Rules. Step two. Set the Platform Commission. It is the percentage your site keeps from each sale. The instructor receives the rest. Thirty means the instructor gets seventy percent. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the section. It is not clicked here. Commissions already recorded keep the rate they were made at. The same section has Deduct fee, which takes a payment processing fee off a sale before the split. It is off unless you turn it on. Step three. Open Earnings. Open L M S Commerce, then Earnings. This page also needs the Commissions and Payouts module. Scroll to the card called Commission Rules. Its first line repeats your default split. Step four. Add a rule for one course. A rule gives one course its own split. The first list has Per Course. Per Instructor is part of Learnomy Pro. Choose the course, and type the percentage the instructor receives. Eighty here gives this course's instructor eighty percent. Then click Add rule. It is not clicked here. Rules you add are listed under the form. Step five. Find Withdrawal Requests. It is the last card on Earnings. An instructor asks here to be paid what they have earned. The tabs are Pending, Processed, Rejected and All. Approve marks the request as processed. Learnomy on its own does not send the money. You pay the instructor by the method in the row. Reject asks for a reason. Neither is clicked here. Step six. See earnings as an instructor. Now sign in as an instructor and open Earnings in the Instructor Dashboard. Available to Withdraw, This Month and Lifetime are this instructor's share. With Request Withdrawal the instructor asks you for a payout. The request must reach the Minimum Withdrawal in your Commissions settings, which starts at twenty five dollars. The request lands in the card you saw in step five. It is not clicked here. That is all six. Commissions opened, the Platform Commission set, Earnings opened, a rule added for one course, Withdrawal Requests found, and earnings seen as an instructor.
