Transcript

In this tutorial you will find a payment in Transactions in Learnomy. It is the list of every payment and refund on your site. You need the free Learnomy plugin. Transactions is in the L M S Commerce menu, which shows once the Membership, the Commissions and Payouts, or the Coupons module is on. All three are off on a new site, unless the setup wizard turned one on. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Transactions. Filter and search. Read a row. Open a transaction. Then find the Refund button. Step one. Open Transactions. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Commerce, then Transactions. Each row is one payment or one refund. The line under the title counts them. Step two. Filter and search. The first list filters by status. Completed, Refunded, Partially refunded, Pending or Failed. The second list filters by gateway. The search box takes an email, a name, an order ID, or the reference the gateway gave the payment. Then click Filter. Step three. Read a row. Customer is who paid. Item is the course or the plan, with the reference the gateway gave the payment under it. The references are hidden in this video. Then come the Amount, the Type, the Provider and the Status. A refund is a row of its own. Its amount is a minus, and its last column says which payment it returns. Step four. Open a transaction. Click its number in the ID column. The Transaction card shows what was charged. Here a coupon took nine dollars eighty off, so the customer paid thirty nine dollars twenty. Under it are the customer and the item, and then the Commission split. Step five. Find the Refund button. A payment with the status Completed has a Refund button, on its row in the list and at the top of its own page. Refund opens a box that asks for the amount, filled in with all that can still be refunded. Lower it to refund a part. Refunding the whole payment also removes the access it paid for. The box is not opened here, and nothing is refunded. That is all five. Transactions opened, the list filtered and searched, a row read, a transaction opened, and the Refund button found. You can now look up any payment on your site. Next in this series: Read the Commerce overview.
