Looking for a LearnDash alternative? LearnDash is a course plugin for WordPress. So the alternative here is another WordPress plugin, on the same site you already own. This one is free to install. So this video does one thing. It shows what the free version includes, and you compare it with what you run today. Courses, quizzes and certificates. Checkout and memberships. And an import tool that reads your LearnDash courses. Here is the list. Unlimited courses, with sections, lessons and topics. Six types of quiz question. Certificates with a public page where anyone can verify them. Stripe and PayPal checkout, with no shop plugin. Membership plans with monthly or yearly billing. And revenue sharing, if other teachers sell on your site. Here it is on a real WordPress site. The courses sit in your dashboard, each with its own price. The course builder holds the sections and the lessons of a course in one screen. Certificates have a screen of their own, with templates you can design, and a list of every certificate issued. On the student side, a quiz opens inside the course. It can be graded, a practice run, or a survey. The membership page is part of the same plugin. One plan can open a whole group of courses. And with BuddyNext on the same site, each course gets a room where students talk to each other. Another student finishes a lesson, and her progress is saved. When the course is complete, the certificate is issued with no work from you. It fits one teacher or many. One switch makes it a solo academy, with no marketplace screens. Or let other teachers apply, and each sale is split and tracked for you. You do not have to start again. The plugin has an import wizard, and it runs on the site where LearnDash is installed. Pick LearnDash as the source. Courses, lessons, quizzes and questions are copied across. Enrolments and lesson progress can come too. The import only reads. Your LearnDash courses stay exactly as they were. To be clear about the limits. Certificates already issued, past quiz scores and payment history are not moved. So test it on a staging copy first, and keep both running while you compare. One more thing to compare, the free version against the paid one. Courses and quizzes are free. Assignments and a weighted gradebook are paid. Signed certificates are free. Open Badges and Credly are paid. Checkout, memberships and revenue sharing are free. Pausing a plan, payment retries and automatic teacher payouts are paid. A test costs you one afternoon, and your current courses are not touched. Every course you build before you test is one more course to move later. Learnomy is the free course plugin for WordPress. Install the free plugin and import one course this week. Get Learnomy.
