How to add your own sign-up fields in Learnomy, step by step: open LMS Settings, then Settings, then Registration Fields, add a field, choose its type, choose who is asked and whether it is required, save, and see the sign-up form.
In this tutorial you will add your own sign-up fields in Learnomy. A field is one more question on the sign-up form, such as a company name or a phone number. You need the free Learnomy plugin. No module has to be turned on for it. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open Registration Fields. Add a field. Choose its type. Choose who is asked. Save the fields. Then see the sign-up form. Step one. Open Registration Fields. In your WordPress admin, open L M S Settings, then Settings, and click Registration Fields. The card is called Registration and profile fields. On a new site it has no fields yet. Step two. Add a field. Click Add field. A new row appears. Type a Label. It is the question people see beside the box. Here it is Company. A row with no label is not kept when you save. Step three. Choose its type. The Type list has seven. Text, Email, Phone, Paragraph, Dropdown, Dropdown multiple, and Checkbox. Paragraph is a larger box for a longer answer. Checkbox is one box to tick, for a yes or a consent. For either Dropdown, a box appears under the row where you type the choices, one on each line. Step four. Choose who is asked. Show on has five choices. Everyone, asked at signup and editable in the account. Everyone, asked once at signup. Students only. Instructors only. Or everyone, in the account only. A field that is asked once at signup cannot be changed later by the member. Tick Required when the form must not be sent without an answer. Step five. Save the fields. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the section. It is not clicked here, so no field is added to this site. To remove a field later, click the bin at the end of its row, and save again. The last field can be removed too. The card below, Anti-spam question, belongs to the same section. Its switch asks a simple sum before an account is made, and you can turn it on or off here. After saving, the answers people give show on each student's page in your admin, under Learnomy, then Students. That page is not shown here. Step six. See the sign-up form. This is the student sign-up form, as a visitor who is not signed in. A saved field that is asked at signup, of everyone or of students only, is added to this form. There is no extra field on it here, because nothing was saved in this video. The instructor application form gets the signup fields for everyone, and the ones for instructors. That is all six. Registration Fields opened, a field added, its type chosen, who is asked chosen, the fields saved, and the sign-up form seen. Your sign-up form can now ask for what you need to know. Next in this series: Set up the General settings.
